Now that we have thoroughly settled into the global quarantine life, I thought it was about time I started making recordings from my little hovel out in New Jersey. I live out in the suburbs, and consider myself quite lucky to have access to a yard and fresh air these days.
Over the last month or so, I’ve definitely noticed a decrease in both air and vehicular traffic around the hovel, and the birds do seem more vocal. The blue jays and cardinals definitely appear to be bolder and fatter. Not sure what they are eating, but they do look plump!
One thing that has not slowed in the area is construction projects. Houses are being painted, roofs are beings redone, and just up the road, an entire house is being built. They have most of the sheathing up, and when I heard the nail guns going I decided to put the rig outside on the deck.
