Meteorology Madness

Image

This past week the eastern seaboard experienced some high winds and heavy rains. Meteorologists told us it was part of an atmospheric river and might develop into a bomb cyclone. I do wonder if these meteorologists are getting too excited about naming things but whatever makes them happy.

I live in the great state of New Jersey, and the weather over the last week did not present as anything worthy of a bomb cyclone, but the winds sure did pick up. Most of the leaves have fallen but there are some nice spruce trees in the yard that provided a medium for the wind to pass through. The leaves rolling across the ground also play a role in filling out the image.

The first recording opens with some powerful "Warren Buffetting"

I also dig the subtle material.

Recording Geek Note: Rig consists of Schoeps CMC1′s with MK4 capsules set up for double ORTF. It was tracked with a Cooper CS 104 feeding a Sound Devices 744T
