A few weeks ago I was wandering around Union Square and the local green market happened to be in full-swing. This outdoor farmer’s market is open every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. The Union Square farmer’s market features goods from all over the New York and New Jersey area and is always a great place to find fresh produce and occasionally, ostrich meat.
I love recording in open markets because they are often great sources of regional accents and music is rarely played in the background. Sometimes you even find kids having tantrums.
